Unhealthy human practices are creating a negative impact to our environment.  Before long we shall lose our most valued medicinal plant species which play a very significant role in health and livelihoods of the people but also could be useful ingredients in the Pharmaceutical sector.  Without proper mechanisms to identify these endangered plant species and implement conservation mechanisms, most of these will become extinct.  Therefore, NCRI aims at strengthening conservation mechanisms of medicinal bio-diversity.
