The Institute is championing a national crusade to ensure that plant materials used for the production of herbal medicines are solely from cultivated sources. This is primarily aimed at promoting conservation of medicinal plants in the country which is in line with NFA which seeks to manage aquatic and terrestrial biodiversity to ensure sustainable and equitable benefits to all Ugandans now and in the future.
